Dear 365体育投注 Community,
We send our heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and countless other victims of systemic racism. 365体育投注ir deaths painfully remind us of the institutionalized devaluing and dehumanizing of Black Americans.
As an historically white institution committed to social justice, we have much work to do. 365体育投注se recent events have deepened our resolve to address racism, work beginning within our own community. We cannot remain silent amid acts of racism, injustice, brutality, and violence. We will seek to further embrace anti-racism. We will work together toward the first priority in our strategic plan; a diverse, equitable and responsive culture. We must extend our efforts to make 365体育投注 College a place of compassion, equity, and justice; and we will deepen our commitment to making it a learning community where there is no place for racism.
We are hosting a 365体育投注 College community virtual meeting on Friday, June 5 at 3:00 – 4:30 PM EST, along with a Circle of Councils meeting on Friday, June 12 at 4:00 PM EST, both as times to hold space together, to support, mourn, and explore how we might take further action.
Sincerely,
Bernard Bull
President of 365体育投注 College
Gloria J. Willingham-Touré
Chair of the 365体育投注 College Board of Trustees
