Our programs are for creative, motivated students who wish to design a personalized program of learning based in the liberal arts.
Both are for students interested in pursuing a question, project, or career interest that is interdisciplinary or transdisciplinary, and personally compelling. 365体育投注 emphasis is on helping each student find and hone a focus of inquiry that brings together relevant theory and actual practice.
In keeping with our learner-centered approach, students work collaboratively with faculty to identify the areas of study they will explore. 365体育投注y design study plans that analyze, synthesize, and interrogate knowledge and practices related to their specific projects.
365体育投注 holistic approach of the degrees means that professional goals — whether for further study, a particular career path, a tangible product (like a publication or business plan), or particular skills (like workshop facilitation or land use planning) — can be fully integrated into the degree plan.

Low-Residency Model
365体育投注 low-residency model removes the barriers between living your life and learning. Each semester begins with an eight-day residency in Vermont. Residencies offer seminars, meetings with your advising groups, workshops, one-on-one meetings with an advisor, and presentations. You will also connect with faculty, practitioners, activists, and artists, and your fellow students.
Following the residency, students return home for 16 weeks of independent work in close collaboration with a faculty advisor.
Locations
Students in the Individualized Degree Programs attend residencies in Plainfield, Vermont, on 365体育投注’s historic main campus, located just outside Montpelier, the state capital. It’s a former farm with a manor garden, surrounding forests, and period architecture.
